Food Coops and Households in Community - Redeemer is a large congregation made of members located in multiple geographic neighborhoods throughout the greater Winston Salem area. These natural geographies are the framework upon which we welcome newcomers, care for members and attenders in need, and bless our neighbors. Within several of these communities households have banded together to buy household supplies in bulk and share produce orders - increasing social capital and lowering household costs.

The Ardmore RAH! - Redeemer envisioned and launched an annual 5k road race for Ardmore and the greater Winston Salem area back in 2002. We have participated as a major organizer alongside the Twin City Track Club , the Ardmore Neighborhood Association and other community groups ever since. Generous sponsors provide funding for the event which is held in October. The 5K - and now also 10k - road races along with the paired Fun Run help build community among neighbors and sponsors. The participants equally benefit as members, neighbors, family and friends are encouraged in discipline and physical fitness. Visit the ArdmoreRAH! webpage for more info and a registration form.

Redeemer's Deacon's Fund is a ministry linking church and community members with resources that can help with the payment of utility bills or rent, financial counseling, as well as helping those in need to find local overnight shelters, food banks, etc. Many recipients are employed but happen upon unexpected bills and need help to make ends meet. Those with chronic financial needs are referred to a trained volunteer financial counselor at Redeemer, who helps them budget and look at the big picture. Redeemer works together with government, other churches and social agencies in Winston-Salem to prayerfully pursue people that often "fall between the cracks". Individuals who are not members or regular attenders of Redeemer will need a recommendation for financial assistance from one of our community partners or church leaders.

College Campuses - Redeemer Church's physical location puts us in the middle of several college and university campuses. (NCSA, Forsyth Tech, Winston Salem State, Wake Forest, Salem College, etc.) As such we have a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to care for and extend the gospel to students at these universities. Our congregation supports Reformed University Fellowship, InterVarsity, and others engaged in campus outreach. Perhaps you have a heart for a campus where Redeemer and other groups do not have an organized presence, or you would like to support staff and workers at one of these local college or universities. Maybe you work on campus and want to start a faculty or staff Bible study among workers, or pray for /engage in outreach where we do not have a presence locally (Forsyth Tech, Winston Salem State or even UNCG.)
